WWFCollage

The ‘Green 60’ workshops by 60SIFF in collaboration with WWF have finally come to an end, empowering more than 400 students from 9 different schools in Karachi with the faculty of highlighting issues concerning environment and nature, and promoting the idea to save nature through films.

It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and the quick learning capability in the students, making the workshops even more interesting and productive. The students were highly motivated and interested in the concept of bringing environment related issues to light and suggesting ways to address them via films.

The workshops were conducted from 19th to 28th January; one day in each school.

Following is the list of the schools 60SIFF visited:

  • Lecole
  • B.S.S Gulshan Middle 1
  • B.S.S Gulshan Cambridge
  • Dawood Public School
  • B.S.S Gulshan Middle 2
  • Bahria Foundation College Gulshan Campus
  • DA Model High School
  • The City School PAF Chapter
  • B.S.S Jubilee Campus

The students from these schools now have time to make and submit their environment related films till 10th February 2015. These films will be received and judged in a separate category and the winners will be rewarded accordingly.

The passion shown by the students during the workshops have made us have high expectations from the students. We are looking forward to some great films by them, and a tough time for the jurors to decide between the entries for the best ones.

Stay tuned to our Facebook page, because inspiring films by these young filmmakers will be uploaded as soon as we receive them.

 Have a Wonderful day! =)
